» Ajmer-e-Sharief Dargah -
Atthe foot of a barren hill, is situated India’s most
importantpilgrimage center for people from all faiths. It is
the splendid tomb of theSufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti
more popularly known as Khawaja Saheb orKhawaja Sharif. The
shrine is next only to Mecca or Median for the Muslimsof South
Asia. Emperor Akbar used to make a pilgrimage to this Dargah
fromAgra once a year. |

»UmaidBhawan Palace - The only palace built in 20th century
under thefamine relief programme, has now been converted into

Lake Palace - Right in the middle of the lake Pichola
stands the Lake Palace. A beautiful white marble structure,
this palace seems to emerge from the pure water of the lake.
Built by Maharana Jagat Singh in the year 1754, the island is
situated on the rocky island of founded and named by the same
Maharana. The beauty of the palace, as it appears during the
day or moon lit night is unparalleled. The palace has now been
converted into a heritage hotel where the tourists receive a
royal treatment while on their trip ti the magnificent city of
Udaipur. |

» Junagarh Fort - Oneof the
most imposing forts of northern India-- Junagarh Fort-- has
remainedunconquered till date. This fort was built in 15th
century by one of themost able and trusted generals of Akbar,
Raja Rai Singh.
